Road Atlanta Hoosier Super Tour Spec Miata Race + Crash

After some bad luck with mechanical issues and a caution during my best flying lap, I qualified for this race in P8. Nothing to complain about, but I felt my pace was good enough to compete for the lead, so I knew I had to fight forward. I could hear and feel something wrong on a front wheel early in the session, and I was struggling a little under braking into turn 10. Also obvious in the video is my clutch starting to fail, slipping very badly on upshifts. However when I found myself in 4th behind teammate Skyler Cottrell (who had been very quick), I convinced myself I could finish the race and maybe even hunt down Danny and Chuck in the lead. Then the wheel started vibrating coming out of turn 5 and….ouch. Hitting the concrete backwards hurt pretty bad, but I had no injuries and the car is repairable. On to the next race!
