Dealing with Iguana Aggression

Male Green Iguana 5-6 years old (The General or Mr. Bigs as he is known as) decides that he is the Alpha Male. Here are my unprofessional observations and techniques to dealing with biting and aggression. Showing classic signs of aggression that lead to biting. 1. Puffing up/getting big (more specifically angling his body so you can always see his sides) 2. Head tracking. (Iguana's head closely follows owner's hands or body. Usually fast head movements) 3.Tail shaking (a preemptive wriggle of the tail before whipping) 4. Charging 5. Squaring up. (Iguana always keeps the owner in sight) 6. Evil eyes. ( A good owner can tell if his Igg's eyes are looking mean) Tips for dealing with biting (these tips are not fool proof, but have helped me raise a calm iguana) 1.Let them get their biting satisfaction. For young iguanas THAT CAN'T HURT YOU, let them bite you! As soon as they know that biting does nothing to you, the sooner they won't try it again. For older Iggs, try the glove method in my video. 2. Don't back down. Leaving a situation means the Igg has won. Stand your ground if it means not getting hurt. 3. Don't fight fire with fire. Never hit or squeeze your Igg. 4.Eliminate negative outside stimulus. Deal with your Igg in a quiet, undisturbed environment. Apologies for video quality and cinematography.
