Today was one of those days. I went to the countryside with my uncle and the children to pick green beans, reliving moments that strongly remind me of childhood and the simple life of the countryside. On the way, we were surprised by a heavy rain, the kind that soaks everything, leaves the road muddy, and makes you laugh at the situation. Even so, no one complained. On the contrary, the rain made everything even more beautiful and special. Upon arriving at the field, it was a joy to see the plantation so vibrant and abundant. Watermelons scattered on the ground, corn stalks growing strong and healthy, green beans ready to be harvested… a simple scene, but one that conveys a peace that many people in the city will never understand. In times where almost everything is a rush, being able to experience a moment like this with family is priceless. It was wonderful to spend this time with them, listening to stories, playing, harvesting beans with our own hands, and smelling that scent of wet earth after the rain. It's moments like these that remind us of where we came from and how rich a simple life can be in true happiness. In the end, there was also the satisfaction of taking the green beans home to prepare a stew made from the harvest itself. Things that money can't buy, only the heart keeps forever in its memory.
