Day 4, Part 1: Ayutthaya Day Trip - Elephant Ride, Ancient Ruins & Giant River Prawns!

Day 4 in Thailand was our longest day. We were going to book a separate excursion to an elephant sanctuary and hit the floating market another day. But then my brother's Thai friend had a better idea. Instead of two tours, he suggested we rent a van for the whole day, hit the elephants first, then visit a floating market later that same day. The catch? These two places are in opposite direction and far apart, so we had to start early. My brother's friend joined us as our personal tour guide. So first, we headed to Ayutthaya to see the elephants, explore the ancient ruins and try the famous giant river prawn at Pae Krung Kao, a popular Thai restaurant.
