WoF 3/23/10: Record $100,000 Win!! ($142,500)

(Please don't give me too much guff about a spoiler title, OK?) You cannot stop this Wheel. The Wheel is FREAKIN' WHITE SCORCHING HOT. NOT JUST RED, ULTRA PURE WHITE HOT. YOU CANNOT STOP THE WHEEL RIGHT NOW. LET THE CONFETTI FALL FOREVER AND MAY IT NEVER STOP, EVER. :D :D :D :D It's too bad time constraints rushed things a tad - Barry's win last week, if you look at RetroBoy's clip, included a classic running around the stage and a good dosage of reaction. Odds of drawing 100k on 3 shows out of a set of 7 straight: about 500:1 ========================= Before I give some statistics on some of the all-time records, there is one thing to point out that I think is considerable - as you may have seen with yesterday's clip, this week has super-inflated trips, because the standard single Sandals package is $7500. This means it becomes $15000, prize puzzle and trip on the Wheel. Mary Anne & Michael got BOTH of these, in separate rounds, along with pretty good gameplay and some cash in both rounds, but no big-money hits. That is over 70% of their pre-bonus-round winnings being trip bloat. None of the below got that type of assistance, but most likely $6000 speed-ups. Both take luck to get, but I find trips much easier, so take everything with a grain of salt, I guess. ========================= Using a past version of Wikipedia's article on the show (just before Michelle's million win) at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?t..., we discover: -Price infamous guest star Jack Wagner helped another contestant on Soap Opera week out-do tonight's total by just a measly $50. I know, man, so close! If you're a hardcore fan you can count returning champions, I guess, but the game is so different now. You could also discount this since it's a celebrity. -I looked a bit deeper, and Becca Rhine had an exceptional maingame and a Winnebago into her total - so more like last night for Victoria and Viola, but much harder with a single person! I also saw $124250 all in cash due to the real big one at http://archives.postandcourier.com/ar... . Therefore, Mary Anne & Michael take home the 3rd-biggest primetime winners ever, just short of 2nd by $50; however since it was a celebrity week you could argue they are in fact the biggest non-million winners ever.
