DisneylandForward Is Actually Happening — Here's What's Coming First

After two years of waiting, DisneylandForward is officially happening. Disney filed the first major construction permits in December 2025, breaking ground on a $1.9 billion expansion that will completely transform the Disneyland Resort over the next decade. The Eastern Gateway parking hub starts construction in fall 2026, Avengers Campus Phase 2 is already vertical with Stark Flight Lab and Avengers Infinity Defense targeting late 2027, and a brand new Coco boat ride and Avatar land are coming to Disney California Adventure. This is the largest expansion in Disneyland history, and every project traces back to the May 2024 approval that rezoned Disney's entire 500-acre Anaheim footprint. In this video, we break down exactly what's coming first, when each project breaks ground, and which attractions will close to make room. From the demolition of Hollywood Land to the possible third gate tied to Disneyland's 75th anniversary in 2030, here's everything confirmed and everything Disney isn't telling us yet. If you're planning a Disneyland trip in the next five years, these are the changes that will affect every visit. What would you like to see in DisneylandForward?
