Senso-ji Temple & Nezu Shrine | Asakusa | Free Viewing Platform | Nakamise Street

It was a temple viewing day today! First stop was a viewing platform on top of the information centre in Asakusa, to look down upon Nakamise Street and across to Tokyo Skytree. This was a great view and I would highly recommend going up there as it is free after all. Then I walked down Nakamise Street which was packed full of people and had little shops on both sides as you walk down. There were so many people! Then I finally got to the Senso-ji Temple and it was beautiful. The architecture of the buildings was lovely and you could feel the history around you. Then I head out of Asakusa and on the way to a different shrine I found a 3D panda billboard which was just so adorable. This was a really good find that I had no idea was even there! The shrine I went to was called Nezu Shrine. And it was tucked away down a little street but it was so beautiful. There was hardly anyone around so you could get any picture you wanted. But it also had the same history feel about it. Here I was able to see the iconic Japanese red gates (Torii) and walk through them without many other people around. It was very peaceful here which was just lovely. I would definitely recommend coming to see this shrine. I had a brilliant day, and I hope you have a fun time watching. Enjoy.
