O Lugar mais surreal de Arequipa no Peru? Conheça a Laguna de Salinas

In today’s episode, I visited Laguna de Salinas, a small paradise in the middle of the mountains of southern Peru, at over 4,300 meters above sea level. The road there is already an adventure on its own: endless curves, high altitude, and that intense cold typical of the Andean highlands. But when I finally arrived, the scenery felt like another planet. A massive mirror-like lagoon reflecting the sky, mountains all around, llamas and alpacas roaming freely, and flamingos adding color to the landscape. Laguna de Salinas is part of the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve and is one of the most impressive places in the Arequipa region. During the rainy season, water covers the plain and creates incredible reflections. In the dry season, what remains is a vast white salt desert that transforms everything into a surreal setting. Even in extreme conditions, life thrives here. Andean flamingos feed in the salty waters, while alpacas, llamas, and vicuñas graze in the surrounding areas, fully adapted to the harsh climate and high altitude. If you enjoy nature, off-the-beaten-path destinations, and high-altitude adventures, this episode will definitely surprise you. 📍 Laguna de Salinas – Arequipa, Peru 🏔 Altitude: over 4,300 meters (14,100 ft) 🦙 Wildlife: llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and flamingos Tour link on GetYourGuide: https://www.getyourguide.com/pt-br/ar...
