A total of 5 brand new NFI XDE40 units were delivered to Kirkland Division, numbered #8001-8095. These buses are part of a most recent order from MUNI ordering hybrid buses once again. The first unit #8001 had been delivered since months ago, but it was just continuously being in training or maintenance of being accepted. In fact, these buses are equipped with Cummins B6.7 engines and BAE transmission system. However, as you can hear in the video, it sounded more like a XE40 instead of a XDE40, in which you cannot really hear the BAE too well. Also, if you realized, these buses are also equipped with electric mirrors, for the operators to see more clearly. The farebox at the front is also faced towards the middle of the bus instead of towards the curbside.
