Elderflower Cordial | The Delicious Swedish Way | Recipe And Tutorial Included

Every year we make this elderflower cordial. This year we made twice as much as usual. It's just so delicious! And now we want to share this recipe with you and show just how we make ours. Recipe: 1 Batch 60 elderflowers 6 lemons 3 liters of boiling water 160g citric acid powder 4kg sugar 2ml sodium benzoate Let the flowers soak in salted water for about 30min. Empty out the water and put the flowers in a 10 liter bucket. Slice lemons and put them on top of the flowers. Boil the water and stir in the sugar and citric acid powder. Pour the sugar water over the elderflowers. Put on a lid and let it sit for 5 days in a cool place. Strain the cordial over a pot to remove the flowers and lemons. Ad the sodium benzoate if you want the cordial to last longer. (Skip this step if you are storing the cordial in the freezer.) Pour into clean bottles.
