The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has led to a surge in demand for food delivery and the rapid growth of convenient meal kits. Consequently, residents are increasingly concerned about the food safety of processed and ready-to-eat foods and finished products. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a system that manages each step of the food chain, from raw material management to manufacturing, processing, cooking, and distribution, to prevent hazardous substances from entering or contaminating food. In particular, starting in 2022, mandatory HACCP requirements for the meat processing industry have been expanded from businesses with annual sales of KRW 500 million or more to include businesses with annual sales of KRW 100 million or more (based on 2016 sales), further enhancing its role. Accordingly, Gangwon Domin Ilbo will continue to identify HACCP-certified companies and promote their expertise to residents to enhance the competitiveness of the province's meat processing industry and ensure safe food production. We appreciate your support. The first HACCP company is "H" Agricultural Corporation, located on the clear waters of Soyanggang Dam in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. We will show you the unfiltered process of transforming domestic soybeans, grown in the clean air of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range in Gangwon Province, and imported soybeans verified by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, into soft, savory tofu by washing them in the clear waters of the Soyanggang River.
