Thames roach on hemp and tares

This 'In-Session' video follows myself on an afternoon session to a very busy river Thames in search of a decent bag of quality roach on an old school tactic, hemp and tares. The session doesn't go entirely to plan, yet it was never meant to be about catching loads of fish but mastering an art that I have wanted to do for years. Some school-boy errors made along the way but if you don't make mistakes then you will never learn and although I think my approach on the day was good, the old saying 'you can only catch what's in front of you' rang true at the end of the day. If you have ever wanted to try this method then take a look as on its day it will literally take a swim apart and is certainly a tactic that I will be trying in the future and if I can pick the right swim, on the right day, well it might just be one of those red-letter days!
