June 27, 2026, a summer day accompanied by dazzlingly clear skies and hot sunshine. 38 members attended the Allpa Park Golf June Monthly Meeting to create another precious memory together. A Day Started at a Warm Table The first part of the event began at noon at the Tongbyeo Gamjatang restaurant. Enjoying a steaming bowl of Gamjatang accompanied by a glass of soju or beer, we wished each other good health and shared warm laughter. Delicious food fills the stomach, but a meal shared with good people fills the heart with warmth as well. At the event, Member Kim Haeng-ok presented a set of magic dishcloths, prepared with great care, to all the attending members. In addition, everyone smiled brightly like children as we distributed golf gloves through a raffle. The chewy rice cakes donated by the President generously filled not only the members' taste buds but also their hearts. Furthermore, thanks to the heartfelt support from members Kwon Haeng-sook, Park Young-mi, Kim Eun-hyang, and Kim Eun-ja, this monthly meeting became an even more abundant and meaningful occasion. We realized once again: That sharing is not something done because one has a lot, but a beautiful act of consideration that naturally blossoms when there is a desire to be together. Friendship Blooming on the Green Grass 1:30 PM. The members moved to Daesan Park Golf Course and took a group photo with refreshing smiles. A single photograph records today, but the time spent together remains a lifelong memory. Following this, groups of four were formed through a raffle, and the game began in earnest. Energetic cheers followed for magnificent tee shots, and warm laughter flowed as we comforted each other over balls that narrowly missed the hole. Because the spirit of cheering for one another and enjoying the game together came before winning or losing, all 38 members who walked the green that day were true winners. *The Thoughts Contained in a Slice of Watermelon* 3:00 PM. Under the hot summer sun, a welcome gift awaited us. Refreshing watermelons, prepared with the members' sincerity, were ready for everyone to share this sweet treat. A slice of watermelon eaten in the sweltering heat was more than just a simple fruit. It held unspoken sentiments such as, "Thank you for enduring the heat," and "It was a pleasure being with you." Sometimes, a single small act of consideration makes a person's day happy. And the watermelon of that day was the very taste of such thoughtfulness. What shone brighter than the 36 holes was friendship. 4:30 PM. The enjoyable official schedule came to a close. However, our day did not end there. Some teams continued their modest bets and shared laughter, while others headed to a restaurant for dinner. Some went home, while others continued their conversations. Although their paths diverged, their hearts toward one another were united. Life is very much like park golf. For the ball, the direction in which it is sent is more important than how far it is sent. For people, it is more important who you go with than how fast you go. Good scores fade with time, but the faces we laughed with, the hands we warmly held, a slice of watermelon that cooled us down in the sweltering heat, and the considerate hearts that put each other first, will remain in our hearts for a long time, even as the seasons change. Today, we did not merely hit a ball. We nurtured friendship, and rather than playing a game, we built up happiness, one by one. And someday, even if we no longer remember today's score as time passes, June 27, 2026, the beautiful day shared by 38 people, laughing and walking together under the hot summer sun, will remain in our hearts as a shining memory for a long time.
