The country combines the ancient with the modern, and is also known for its attractive business environment, making it a center for finance and gambling in Europe. The Maltese are extremely hospitable and expressive people who live in one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Their lives are governed by tradition and religion, as evidenced by the many churches scattered across the islands. Although the country is small, there are big things happening here, from the rich tourism industry to the fact that Malta is the setting for the filming of many Hollywood movies. Despite limited natural resources, the locals are meeting the challenges thanks to innovative solutions such as seawater desalination. This unique blend of antiquity and modernity, combined with the incredible landscapes and cultural riches, makes Malta one of the most attractive destinations in Europe.
