Norwich, Connecticut School Transformation 2026 | Moriarty, Stanton, Uncas & Greenville

In this narrated 4K driving tour, I take a final look at four Norwich, Connecticut elementary schools that are being replaced by new facilities as part of the city's ongoing school construction program. Featured in this video: • Moriarty Elementary School • Stanton Elementary School • Uncas Elementary School • Greenville Elementary School Although Greenville Elementary was demolished several years ago, the site is included for historical context. The other three schools are still standing but are slated for demolition after their replacement schools are completed. Construction is now underway at all of the school sites, with Stanton Elementary nearing completion. Having watched these schools serve generations of Norwich students, I wanted to document them during this unique period of transition and preserve a record of what remains before the original buildings are gone. This is a narrated driving tour featuring observations and commentary from each location. Recorded on June 14, 2026. Video Details: • 4K UHD • GoPro hood-mounted camera • Narrated driving tour • Audio recorded using a Tentacle Track E recorder and Sanken COS-11D lavalier microphone • Edited in Final Cut Pro This video serves as a historical record of these schools and their surrounding neighborhoods during a period of significant change in Norwich.
