Skiing in an Abandoned Ski Resort - Stories Behind My Lens Ep. 2 - French Pyrenees

In the second episode of his "Stories Behind My Lens" series, photographer Philipp Klein explores the French Pyrenees in an abandoned ski resort. The wind makes the ascension difficult, but he keeps looking for good snow and to capture exciting ski photographs. The first day, they're forced to turn around after a few hours, as they're ski touring with a dog which has difficulties to deal with the wind affected snow. After a freezing night in the van - waking up to ice build up inside the windows, Philipp goes for a second round at the abandoned ski resort. This time he spots an interesting line that might have good snow. In the meantime, Philipp explains how he carries his cameras, from the big full frame camera, to the different GoPros he has attached. One is on his ski pole, acting as a B-cam and ready for vlog selfie style footage. To descend, he attaches a GoPro to his helmet, with an ultrawide lens attachment to increase the viewing angle. At the same time, he uses a GoPro MAX 360 camera to capture unique 3rd person angles.
