CNGR Indonesia, a producer of nickel processing and electric battery raw materials, is optimistic about the development of nickel downstream processing to strengthen the EV battery supply chain in Indonesia. Magdalena Veronika, Director of External Relations at CNGR Indonesia, stated that Indonesia's move as a global nickel producer to ban nickel ore exports marks a milestone for the development of nickel downstream processing in Indonesia. The construction of smelters, which have expanded to nickel refining as a raw material for the steel and EV industries, has made Indonesia the largest exporter of processed nickel. Capitalizing on this momentum, CNGR Indonesia has been developing nickel downstream processing for five years, producing 99.9% refined nickel products that can be traded on global exchanges. By 2026, CNGR Indonesia's nickel downstream processing will continue to produce nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) precursor products, which are used as nickel-based lithium batteries.
