Language Access in Pediatric Healthcare
In this Medical Lecture Series presentation featuring DeafMed, participants explored the importance of language access in pediatric healthcare settings for Deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families. Topics included advocating for qualified interpreters, understanding culturally competent care, and recognizing what true accessibility looks like in medical environments. Presented in ASL with interpretation into English and Spanish.
