Here, we are depicting, how we have crossed Nepal Border to reach our 1st tourist point i.e. Lumbini. To cross Nepal border, we went to Gorakhpur first from Kolkata by 15015 Purvanchal Express via Mujaffarpur, Bettia, Narkatiagunj, Kaptangunj etc. After we reached Gorakhpur, we had to reach Sonauli (Nepal Border) which is around 96 km from Gorakhpur. From Gorakhpur, there are 3 ways to reach Sonauli. Either by bus and car by road or we can reach Nautanwa (nearest Indian railway station to Sonauli border) by train followed by a public transport to reach Sonauli. We travelled to Nautanwa by 15015 Chapra - Nautanwa Intercity Exp which departed from Gorakhpur Jn. at 10:10 am. Later, after reaching Nautanwa, we took a bus ride for 9 km to reach Sonauli. After exchanging INR to Nepali rupees, we took a rickshaw ride to cross the border. Once we crossed Sonauli border, we entered Belahiya in Nepal. From there we took an e-rickshaw ride to Bhaiehawa to get a bus to Lumbini. Check out our video to enjoy our journey and to get much detailed information.
