Where is Afghanistan? Where is Iran? What does history have to do with each other? Are people like Rumi, Ferdowsi, Rudaki and many other great people Iranian? Are they Afghan? Tajik? Or Turkish? An issue that has been challenged many times, one of the most famous cases is the story of Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, or the same Rumi or Rumi or Rumi that Turkey considers its own? Afghanistan says that because of his name, that part of Balkhi is specific to us, and Iran says that most of his poetry was Persian and it is not right to call him anything other than Iranian. In fact, he believes that the country of Iran today should have been called Western Iran and Afghanistan should have been called Eastern Iran so that the common history of Iran would be preserved for both countries.
