In this tutorial, I'll show you how to make eye splices on our pre-stretched double-braided polyester lines, consisting of a cover and a core (for halyards or sheets). This fairly simple technique allows you to create solid leads with a high breaking load. All you need is a 10-gauge splice feeder, a 7.5-gauge splice feeder, scissors, and a marker (and a little elbow grease).
