Mount Kisco FD 2nd Alarm Structure Fire Response
Mount Kisco Fire Department Engine 106, Tower Ladder 14, Utility 13, Engine 105, Engine 103, Rescue 15, Engine 104, and Rescue 31, along with Bedford Hills Fire Department Car 2032, Car 2031, Rescue 10 (responding as a Firefighter Assist & Search Team), Car 2033 (using Utility 203), and Tower Ladder 57, Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps Ambulance 70B2, Car 7011, and Ambulance 70B1, Chappaqua Fire Department Car 2061 and Tower Ladder 27, Katonah Fire Department Car 2213, Car 2212, Engine 116, and Car 2211, Yorktown Heights Fire Department Car 2531, Utility 83, Car 2532 (using Utility 36), and Rescue 16 (responding as a Firefighter Assist & Search Team), and Somers Fire Department Ambulance 80B4 (responding as a rehab unit) responding to a 2nd alarm structure fire on Ascot Circle in the Mount Kisco Chase Complex in the Village of Mount Kisco, New York. A complete rundown of the units that responded is listed below. Originally, the Mount Kisco Fire Department was dispatched for a reported chimney fire. Car 2283 was first to arrive on scene and reported heavy smoke coming from the ceiling and on the C side of the house. He requested the 10-75 (working fire assignment). Car 2282 arrived on scene and advised a fully involved chimney fire with extension to the roof and C side of the house. Shortly after, Car 2282 transmitted a second alarm. An additional tower ladder was also requested to the scene. At the peak of the operation, Car 2282 reported four lines in operation and a tower ladder opening up the roof. After approximately 25 minutes of operating, Car 2282 reported the main body of fire was knocked down and companies were continuing to open up. All units were eventually clear of the scene and back in service after just over 2.5 hours of total operating time.
