These days, my second child doesn't pack a lunch. I always try to feed him breakfast, but he wants to sleep for just five or ten more minutes. So, I just make a quick lunch for him to eat in the car after dropping him off at school. The menu is based on the daily menu, along with whatever rice and side dishes are available... I make simple lunches for him to eat on the go, but when I stir-fried some dried eggplant, he didn't even realize it was eggplant and ate it up, saying it was delicious. The strange thing is... He doesn't feel like he's bothered to prepare breakfast, or that he wants to stop packing. The joy of watching his child eat... is unbelievable.
