D is a retired scholar of ancient and continental Philosophy, African American Studies, Education, Sociology, Curriculum and Disability Studies. He is also a scholar of ancient Biblical, ancient Egyptian, Nubian and Gnostic literature. His language facilities include Ancient Egyptian, Arabic, Aramaic, Coptic, Hebrew, Meroitic and Spanish. He has published, traveled and lectured widely on a variety of topics related to his fields of interest. His current research interest includes Cancer and other health disparities in the Black community and translating ancient Coptic, Egyptian, and Kemetic inscriptions. He is currently a retired professor of undergraduate and graduate courses at Northeastern Illinois University.
