Burden of Truth’s Kristin Kreuk
Marking a departure from her previous leading roles in supernatural-themed television series such as The CW’s Smallville and Beauty & the Beast, Kristin Kreuk is now starring in the legal drama Burden of Truth. In the 10x60-minute show, she portrays big-city corporate attorney Joanna Hanley, who finds herself investigating the mystery surrounding a group of sick high school girls—as well as her own family secrets—when she returns to her small hometown for a case. ICF Films, Entertainment One (eOne) and Eagle Vision are producing Burden of Truth for Canada’s CBC. Kreuk, who also serves as an executive producer, talks to TV Drama’s Anna Carugati about the show, which is due to debut next year.
