After nine months of research, the Charter Reform Commission passed along more than 60 recommendations to City Council -- for example, expanding the number of council districts, strengthening the independence of the Ethics Commission, clarifying the role of neighborhood councils, and addressing police accountability. The Rules Committee deliberated and handed final Charter amendments to the City Attorney's office to write the official ballot measure language.
