Let's talk: 4 to 5 Years
4 to 5 Years Between the ages of 4 and 5 years, your child has probably become quite good at expressing himself and at telling longer stories. And although he’s got lots of energy, he also has a longer attention span now than he did when he was younger. This video demonstrates some of the milestones your child should reach by age 5, and some simple ways that you can support his or her growing communication skills. Concerned about your child’s speech and language development? If at any stage you have concerns about your child’s communication development, don’t hesitate to talk to your healthcare provider or your local health unit. Residents in the Eastern Ontario Health Unit region can call Health Line at 613-933-1375 or 1 800 267-7120 for information about the EOHU’s Words in Bloom speech and language development program.
