December flies by, doesn't it? This year, I decorated my Christmas tree as usual. I put sweets in the heart ornaments with the date written on them and enjoy them as an advent calendar. This time, I'm embroidering the "Hand-Knitted Mittens" for December from Yumiko Higuchi's "Embroidery for Everyday Life." There are nine different mittens lined up, and each one has such a cute design that I'm excited even before I start stitching. As usual, I started by copying the pattern and tracing it onto the fabric on a tracing table. This time, there are a lot of straight lines and semicircles, so it seems a bit tricky... I started with the ribbing on the mittens... At first, I thought it was going smoothly, but the straight lines started to bother me, so I had to re-stitch sections several times. The geometric patterns looked complicated, so... There's a bonus at the end of the video.
