Metroid - lofi/chill mix

The Metroid series was one of my first favorite game series, and with Metroid Dread right around the corner, I thought why not make a little lofi mix to celebrate? Moonbike) You may remember this from the SNES lofi mix I did a while ago. I'm definitely gonna make some more stuff from that into 30 minute lofi mixes like this. Mayhaps Earthbound will be next. 4:26 - Title Theme (VG Lofi Nights) I'm more of a Super Metroid enthusiast, but I do appreciate the music of the original a lot. These lofi takes do it very well! 8:04 - Kraid's Lair (Blizzn) Out of the original Metroid OST's unique songs, this was my favorite. I always found the melody super interesting. And this goes hard. 10:22 - Tallon Overworld (Kevin Colina) Kevin Colina was the first artist I featured in a lofi mix, his "Wind Scene" being the first tune of the Chrono Trigger lofi/chill mix. It's nice to be able to feature his stuff once more! 16:57 - Title Theme (Mizuki Soups) I really like the "lower" sound of this. It really fits the piece! I feel like since this sounds more compressed this just naturally suits the 8-bit sound of the original NES metroid. Some stuff just works, yknow? 19:14 - Phendrana Drift (Kevin Colina) I actually have never played a Metroid Prime game! Listening to this makes me want to change that some day. Now that I think about it, I wonder if any songs will get remixes for Dread, like how Prime and Samus Returns remixed some songs from older games? 25:06 - Lower Brinstar (E.S.O) E.S.O's mixes are very nice. And hey, another artist featured in the original CT lofi mix that kinda kickstarted the direction of the new channel. Nice to see another Lower Brinstar mix, too - That's my favorite of the Super Metroid tunes. 26:48 - Tallon Overworld 2 (Jawnhto) This feels like that really popular Super Mario World game over theme lofi mix in terms of synthy spirit and pure banger material. I loved making this half-hour style mix! I try to make most of my lofi mixes an hour, but perhaps for these games/series I like but am not as attatched to I should stick to this half hour size.
