I made SHAMPOO from a SUPERACID... and tested it
In this video, I take chlorosulfonic acid - one of the most aggressive, corrosive acids in my lab - and use it to synthesize sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), the surfactant found in shampoo, toothpaste, and dozens of other household products. I then use the SLS I made to formulate a working shampoo from scratch, and put it to the real test by washing my hair with it. Enjoy watching, and don't forget to subscribe! _________________________________________________ 00:00-01:30 - Intro.
