Located in East Africa, in Lake Victoria, the islet of Migingo has one of the highest population densities in the world. It is home to several hundred people from Uganda and Kenya, on an area smaller than a football field. Both countries have territorial claims to this stretch of land, close to the Kenyan coast, which offers valuable fishing rights. Ugandans, about a third of the population, coexist there with Kenyans, under the watchful eye of law enforcement from both nations.
