Herping Costa Rica; Night Creatures Of The Rainforest

Our daylight herping trips in Costa Rica did produce some interesting finds. But the action after dark was incredible! In the first part of our Costa Rica videos, we saw just a small fraction of the amazing wildlife the rainforest presented us with! This video is a compilation of the subsequent nights we were there. While we found over 100 species of reptiles and amphibians, some of the more notable ones presented here are the venomous Fer-de lance viper, the False Coral Snake, along with the Cat eye snake. Those aren't the only snakes you'll see though! We also encountered numerous species of frogs while a curious Caiman kept a watchful menacing eye on us. There was no end to fascinating wildlife encounters on this spectacular trip through the jungle at night. Interesting insect life was also documented. We hope you enjoy all the amazing finds we make in this video, and would like to thank our tour guides Jaime of Photo Wildlife Tours and Raby of Sierpefrogs for making this a truly unforgettable journey! If you get a chance to tour Costa Rica, we highly recommend these groups! #herping #costaricawildlife #costarica
