A famous physician came to treat the Prophet (PBUH) after hearing the words of the Quraysh of Mecca—but why did he accept Islam after hearing only a few words from the Prophet (PBUH)? This is not just the story of Dimad al-Ajdi (RA) accepting Islam; it is a powerful example of a heart free from pride in accepting the truth. In today's episode, we will learn in the light of the Quran, authentic Hadith, and acceptable sources of the Seerah—how Dimad al-Ajdi (RA) came to the Prophet (PBUH), why he was surprised after hearing the Khutbat al-Hajjah, and how he accepted the pledge of Islam from the Prophet (PBUH). A heart bound by pride can deny the truth even after seeing signs; and a heart seeking truth can recognize the light of guidance after hearing a few words of truth.
