At age 15, he participated in the Australian Junior Masters. Witnessing the extraordinary play of Cameron Smith, who is currently active on the PGA Tour, he keenly felt the harshness of being a tour professional. At age 16, he decided to become a golf instructor. After graduating from a local high school in Australia, he returned to Japan to study sports science at university, driven by a desire to re-examine golf from a scientific perspective. At Chukyo University Graduate School, he majored in sports biomechanics and obtained a Master's degree (Physical Education).
