E-Bike-Flucht vor der Hitzenhölle

While temperatures in Freiburg are forecast to reach 37 degrees Celsius, I'm heading for the cool heights of the Black Forest today. My destination: the Feldberg, considered one of the coolest spots in the region. The e-bike tour leads from Titisee to the Rinkensattel pass, past the idyllic Mathisleweiher pond and the impressive Feldsee lake, deep into the Feldberg region. Along the way, I expect shady forests, educational reading material, all sorts of curiosities by the roadside, and hopefully, the much-needed respite from the heat. Did my plan work, and was this tour truly the perfect escape from the summer heat?
