We resolved a large-scale pipe leak at a motel where the water meter wouldn't stop, by identifying the cause of the leak in the underground space through precise leak detection. In this video, we reveal the site of the 32mm PPC pipe leak and the challenging pipe repair process. This video covers a site we worked on in March, when the weather was still chilly. PPC pipe leaks, which frequently occur in hot water systems, often result from cracks caused by repeated contraction and expansion of the pipes. Since the production of PPC pipes has currently ceased in Korea, existing pipes and fittings are unavailable. However, repairs are possible safely by using the correct fittings that are compatible with PPC pipes. At this site, we solved the problem through precise leak detection and pipe repair, even under the challenging conditions of a 32mm PPC pipe.
