In this two-part series, we explore Northumberland (and take a quick dive down into County Durham). In this episode of Searching for History, episode 2 of 2, Erin and I remember our time sightseeing in Northumberland outside of Newcastle upon Tyne, in the United Kingdom. In this video, we work our way west up the Tyne River valley and talk about many of Northumberland’s sites, including Prudhoe Castle, Aydon Castle, Corbridge Roman Town, Vindolanda, Hadrian’s Wall, and the town of Hexham. At the end we talk about taking a small journey south of Newcastle upon Tyne into County Durham to visit the amazing Durham Cathedral. Northumberland is an amazing part of the United Kingdom, full of amazing architecture and history.
