This video shows Day 2 of my 2-night, 3-day trip to Manila, Philippines. After enjoying the hotel breakfast buffet, I explored one of Manila’s most popular tourist spots, Intramuros. In Intramuros, I visited San Agustin Church, known as the oldest stone church in the Philippines, and walked around the historic area of Manila. The cobblestone streets and Spanish-era buildings create a unique atmosphere that feels almost like Europe, even though you are in Manila. Along the way, I stopped by Belfry Café, a café built inside a renovated bell tower, where I enjoyed a relaxing tea break in a quiet and cozy space. I also visited the unique Starbucks Pandiman Building Intramuros, where you can find Philippines-exclusive merchandise and items. However, an unexpected problem happened during the trip. I suddenly received a notification that my return flight had been cancelled. As a result, I had to urgently search for a new route to return to Japan via Hong Kong, which led to an unexpected extra cost of about ¥80,000.
