Is Abidjan, Ivory Coast Worth Visiting? Exploring West Africa's BEST CITY! (Ultimate Travel Guide)

Located a few kilometers inland from the southern shores of West Africa, the bustling, booming city of Abidjan is one of the continent's best-kept secrets. In this video, discover why Abidjan is the BEST city in West Africa, featuring some of the best hotels, top attractions, world-class museums and art galleries, French colonial ruins, and wide, sandy beaches. Beginning in the Plateau district, I check out some of the finest cafes in West Africa and visit the iconic St. Paul's Cathedral to discover its amazing stained glass. From there, I take you to the city's famous Galerie Cecile Fakhoury to discover Ivoirian art, try some local Ivoirian beer, then wander the small collection at the Museum of Civilizations, before treating myself to an Ivoirian dinner. From there, I head to the nearby suburb of Grand-Bassam (the former capital of the French colonial government) to check out its sandy beaches, and the countless streets lined with French colonial architecture, now lying in ruin. After finishing up my sightseeing in Abidjan, I headed to the Gare Bassam to catch a minibus to the Ghana border, where I crossed in on a $50 transit visa, ending my journey in the city of Elmina, where I'll pick up from in the next video.
