Dominican Republic, Summer 2026. In this video, I'll take you on a scenic road trip across the island, from Sosúa on the north coast, through Juan Dolio in the south, to Punta Cana in the east of the Dominican Republic. Here's a look at the route: From Sosúa, we drive along the Ruta Panoramica, passing Santiago de los Caballeros. Then we head towards Santo Domingo via La Vega and Bonao. We bypass the capital on the Circunvalación (circlement road). Then we continue along the Caribbean coast, passing Boca Chica, to Juan Dolio. After a stop at the Tritón beach bar, we drive past San Pedro de Marcorís and La Romana. Finally, we take the Autopista (highway) directly to Punta Cana.
