Tug Coms Indirect Braking
Using the tugs hull form to increase the line force on a direct pull. As the speed through the water declines the force that is able to be generated is reduced. The line force generated is dependent on the hull shape, static bollard pull of the tug, and the speed through the water, not over the ground.
