The 150-foot waterfall is unique in Southern California because it's covered in moss, giving it a bearded look. The trail is mostly flat and easy to follow, making it good for beginners and families. Park along Pacific Coast Highway near Winding Way East in Malibu. The falls flow best after winter rains, but even in dry months the moss and rock formations are worth seeing. No permit required, and the trailhead is free. --- Disclaimer: Some of these links are affiliate links where I'll earn a small commission if you make a purchase at no additional cost to you.
