Hawaii Walls 2025

The streets of Honolulu came alive once again as World Wide Walls celebrated its 13th annual Hawai‘i festival in September 2025. This year, more than 50 artists from Hawai‘i and around the world transformed Farrington High School in Kalihi into an open air gallery. Over the course of one week, artists collaborated with students, educators, and community members to create 51 permanent murals, all gifted to the school and surrounding area. With this year’s additions, Farrington High School is now home to over 70 murals, making it one of the largest collections of contemporary public art in Hawai‘i. “The Kalihi neighborhood holds a special place in my heart,” says Jasper Wong, founder of World Wide Walls. “I grew up here. My mom’s grocery store and bakery were right across from Farrington High School. This festival is about more than murals—it’s about creating pride, opportunity, and visibility for a community that has given me so much.” Video directed by Bryce Pedersen of Redefined Media.
