Word of The Week: Discernment Prayer Glory to God Text: DISCERNMENT One Word. One Prayer. Have you ever stood at a crossroads and wondered which direction to take? Not because the choices were obvious, but because both paths seemed reasonable. Sometimes life isn't a battle between right and wrong. It's a battle between good and God's best. The word for this week is: Discernment. Discernment is the ability to perceive clearly. To recognize what is true. To distinguish wisdom from distraction. To hear God's guidance when the world is filled with noise. Discernment isn't suspicion. Discernment isn't fear. Discernment isn't judging people. Discernment is seeing through God's eyes. It is the quiet wisdom that helps us recognize what is healthy for our spirit, what aligns with God's purpose, and what may lead us away from His plan. The world tells us to follow our feelings. God calls us to seek understanding. The world says, "Do what feels right." Discernment asks, "Lord, what is right?" Maybe you're facing a decision. Maybe you're questioning a relationship. Maybe you're praying about your future. Maybe you're searching for peace in the middle of confusion. Today, ask God not simply for answers, but for discernment. Because discernment often comes before direction. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, Thank You for being a God of wisdom, truth, and understanding. In a world full of distractions, opinions, and uncertainty, help us hear Your voice above every other voice. Give us discernment to recognize truth from deception. Give us discernment to choose what honors You. Give us discernment to see people through the lens of grace and wisdom. When we are uncertain, remind us that You are not the author of confusion. When we are tempted to rush ahead, teach us to wait on Your timing. Open our eyes to what You want us to see. Open our ears to what You want us to hear. Open our hearts to what You want us to become. Help us walk in wisdom, not fear. In faith, not doubt. In truth, not confusion. May Your Holy Spirit guide every decision we make this week. Lead us closer to Your purpose and help us become a light to others. We trust You. We follow You. And we thank You for the gift of discernment. In Jesus' name, Amen.
