In this episode, we continue cycling through the Peruvian Andes, departing from Abancay towards Cusco on one of the toughest and most beautiful stages of the trip. For five days on our bikes, we crossed spectacular mountain landscapes and vibrant towns like Curahuasi, Limatambo, and Anta, finally arriving in the legendary city of Cusco. Along the way, we experienced something that is repeated time and again in Peru: the hospitality of its people. Families stopped us in the middle of the road to offer us food, words of encouragement, and smiles that made every kilometer worthwhile. Once in Cusco, we took the time to discover the city, explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and experience the Christmas festivities, surrounded by history, culture, and unique landscapes. From the streets of Cusco to the lesser-known corners of the valley, this part of the journey reminded us why traveling slowly changes everything.
