Forget the work of traditional cabbage rolls. This is our Whittington Farms "Lazy Man" version—a hearty, one-pan skillet bake that hits the table in 20 minutes. We use our own farm-grown tomatoes and a heavy dusting of our tomato powder and paprika to get that deep, savoury farmhouse flavour. The Ingredients: 1/4 large head of cabbage (or 1 small), rough chopped 1 lb ground beef 1 bell pepper 1 sweet potato, diced 3 Garlic cloves 1 can diced tomatoes 2 tbsp Whittington Farms Tomato Powder 1 tsp Paprika 1/2 tsp Oregano, 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp Onion Powder Salt/Pepper to taste. Shredded cheese (for the top) Instructions: Sauté: Heat oil in a large skillet (cast iron works best!). Brown the ground beef with the diced bell pepper and sweet potato until softened. Garlic: Add the garlic cloves during the final minute of sautéing so they don't burn. Season: Stir in the diced tomatoes, spices, and tomato powder. Simmer: Add the chopped cabbage, cover with a lid, and simmer until the cabbage is cooked and softened (about 15 minutes). Stir occasionally.
