Climbing legendary Tour de France passes in the Hautes Pyrénées: Col d'Aspin, Tourmalet from Santa Marie de Campan, and Hourquette d'Ancizan. The Tourmalet ("unexpected turn" or "road of wrong return") is the most climbed pass in the Tour. It was first climbed in 1910 and had been summited 75 times by 2011.
