"The Large Container Ship Kiyoura Maru! Shipboard Tour Part 2" Suzuyo Kaiun's container ship, the Kiyoura Maru, is over 111 meters long. Following the first part, which introduced the wheelhouse and accommodation areas, in part 2, the camera took us inside the stern, top deck (boat deck), bow, and engine room. The first thing that's striking is the sheer scale of this container ship! It can carry up to 200 40-foot containers, each measuring over 100 meters in length and 2.4 meters in width. A single container can weigh up to 30 tons, so it can carry a considerable amount of weight. We were also surprised by the thickness of the ropes used to moor the ship to the port!
