The original was recorded on an acoustic bass so I tried to create a tone that had a similar feeling to it. In the end, I was pretty happy with what I managed to do with the Neural DSP Archetype John Petrucci plug-in. That's right, it wasn't even a bass amp. Nutshell is quite easy and it really does not matter which variation you play. There are about 5-6 variations and you can play them whenever you want to. The song is just one chord progression.
