First Aid for Pets: How to Prepare for the Unexpected
Preparation is key to responding to emergency and urgent situations effectively. In this webinar, Dr. Ann Marie Zollo, Senior Veterinarian, Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care at Schwarzman AMC, reviews basic first aid procedures for dogs and cats. Learn what you should stock in your pet’s first aid kit, how to check your pet’s vital signs, how to handle and transport an injured animal, and signs that your pet should be taken to the veterinary ER. Always remember that any first aid administered to your pet should be followed by immediate veterinary care. First aid care is not a substitute for veterinary care, but it may save your pet’s life until they receive veterinary treatment. Hosted by the Usdan Institute for Animal Health Education at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in NYC.
